Job Summary

The Manager Digital (Salesforce Systems Developer) will work closely with IT Managers and Business Analysts to ensure the timely and effective delivery of stakeholder requirements across various business departments. The developer will be responsible for managing all aspects of Salesforce.com (SFDC) including complex configuration, customization and implementation of applications and 3rd party integrations. An integral function of this role includes collaborating with internal stakeholders and team members to build solutions in SFDC that support business objectives, strategies, and processes for continuous improvement.


  • Design, develop, enhance, debug, and implement software on the Salesforce.com platform based on industry best practice
  • Convert custom classic features and functionality to lightening as well as develop new lightening components in accordance with lightening design system best practices
  • Support CTI integration tools and customization in Service Cloud solution and identify potential issues to troubleshoot root causes
  • Proactively troubleshoots problems related to software applications deployed within the Salesforce.com cloud and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements
  • Assist in the evaluation and recommendation of application solutions
  • Coordinate with business stakeholders during the requirements definition process and write supporting technical requirements and design documentation to support request
  • Independently investigate and resolve complex technical problems with software (i.e. presenting new ideas), and respond to suggestions for improvements and enhancements
  • Create custom Salesforce triggers and support creation of objects, reports, classic works flows and automated approvals, and lightening process builder and flow capabilities
  • Communicate and collaborate with other internal and external technical resources and stakeholders regarding status, technical issues and creative solutions
  • Research and keep current on force.com technologies and communicates trends and future needs from a business perspective
  • Monitor Help Desk ticketing system and e-mail for incoming tickets and updates to existing tickets
  • Serve as primary development lead for daily operational tasks and migrate external partner operations to internal development team
  • Perform all other duties as assigned


  • Extensive experience programming with Apex in Classic Salesforce Visualforce and Salesforce Lightening as well as SOQL and SOSL query syntax
  • Experience and/or familiarity with Salesforce’s Mulesoft integration and streaming API solutions
  • Comprehensive understanding of multiple environments, patterns and languages; specifically: XML, HTML, TSQL/USQL, Javascript, JSON, and CSS
  • Knowledge of the SDLC Lifecycle and Agile Scrum Methodology for Project Management
  • Integration of Salesforce.com with external systems via web services and leveraging Salesforce.com API via SOAP and REST
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Salesforce application architecture, governor limits, and system limitations
  • Comfortable and knowledge of automated testing solutions such as Selenium or Jenkins
  • Experience with code repositories and version control
  • Apply expertise on multiple complex work assignments which are broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks
  • Ability to tailor communication to varying levels of internal and external stakeholders
  • Build stakeholder trust and respect, establish stakeholder relationships, and develop rapport with key resources in the business departments
  • Ability to translate business needs to technical solutions
  • Experience transitioning existing operations and procedures managed by external partners to internal team responsibilities.

Required Education, Certifications/ Licenses, Related Experience

  • BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field and 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • In lieu of degree, a total number of 5-7 years of experience in related field
  • Salesforce Administrator Certification
  • Salesforce Platform Developer I Certification

  • Salesforce Platform Developer II Certification
  • Salesforce Community Cloud Consultant Certification
  • Salesforce Service Cloud Consultant Certification
  • Salesforce Certified Integration Architecture Designer 

Travel Requirements

  • This position requires overnight domestic travel less than 25% of the time
  • This position requires overnight international travel less than 25% of the time
